Hiring seasons

Students are allowed to work in the USA for 3–4 months, with an additional month for travel.
Program dates depend on academic calendars worldwide and individual university rules.
Summer - May to October/ Winter - December to April/ Spring - March to June

Wages may increase each year in some states due to scheduled raises—students should check current minimum wage rates online

 

SUMMER SEASON 2026
Montauk, New York -

Employer is looking for J1 students to hire!
4 to 7 positions are available.
Wages - $16.50 and up to 40 hours per week with possible overtime.

Dock Attendant:
Responsibilities include: Tying up boats, fueling boats, disposing of trash, bagging ice, keeping the property clean

J1 students will be responsible for housing (employer doesn't provide it).

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAMS
Yacht club is located 45 minutes from New York City! Greenwich city, CT state

1 Food and Beverage position is available starting April 1st 2026!
Wage per hour is $18.00. 40 hours per week. 
Virtual interview with HC manager!

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAMS
Waltham, Massachusetts -
2 J1 Interns/Trainee are needed for hotel (very close to Boston)

Front desk positions
Start dates - 1 in February, 1 in April 2026
$18 per hour;

40 hours per week (overtime is possible).
Housing will be provided for the first 14 days of the program, after that applicants will have to find it.

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAMS

Minneapolis, MN (restaurant/hotel) -
Start date is in March or April 2026.
Hotel - 1 Guest Services position (Front Desk)
Starting pay rate is $18.50
40 hours per week (with a possible overtime).


Employee house will be in the hotel. The J1 will not have to pay for the room, but will need to furnish their own food. 

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAMS
La Jolla, California

3 positions available - Receptionist, 2 Cooks
Position: Hospitality (Receptionist)

Starting Pay Rate: $17.00 + Tips
Hours: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.

Housing: Participants are responsible for securing their own housing.
Average Housing Cost: $200 per week.

One Free Meal: Provided on working days.

Additional Opportunities: Additional hours may be available at other locations or stores, providing opportunities for participants to earn more money.

Transportation: Airport transportation assistance is available.

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAMS
Sarasota, Florida (resort/hotel) -

Start date is flexible.

1 Front desk and 1 Food and Beverage position
Starting pay rate is $15.00
40 hours per week with a possible overtime.

Employee house might be available, host company should assist with it

J1 INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE PROGRAM in Miami Beach, Florida

Hotel is interested in 12 months applicants!

Front desk position (must speak Spanish) -

$15/hour, 40 hours per week.

A Front Desk Representative is a professional who is the first point of contact for all customers of a business. They greet customers, answer phones, receive and deliver mail, and assist with maintaining and ordering office supplies.

Housing -

Company will provide 5 days (Monday-Friday) for free at the hotel once applicants will arrive.

After, each J1 participant will have to find their own housing.

J1 INTERNSHIPS - TRAINEE PROGRAMS

Chicago, Illinois -

Few summer positions might be available.

Positions are available in Food & Beverage and Culinary departments

Wage: $15.40 - $17/hr

Hours: 40/week minimum
